Sample Selection. Pregnancy Risk Assessment Monitoring System (PRAMS) dataset includes linked birth certificate and women’s survey responses. Main analysis was restricted to women with live-born singleton births with a gestational age of 20–44 weeks at delivery in states for which PRAMS makes data available and whose pre-pregnancy weight was categorized as obese (body mass index ≥30) or overweight (body mass index 25.0–29.9)
