Mean cost of care per mother/infant pair

Health economic evaluation takes a health system perspective and will conduct a cost-effectiveness analysis. Costs to be included are antenatal care, birth, postnatal care costs; readmissions costs within 6 weeks postpartum; infants’ special care nursery and readmission.
