Independent sample t-test and Mann-Whitney U test are used for significance testing for Gaussian and non-Gaussian variables, respectively, while chi-square test of independence was used for categorical variable(s). Serum vitamin D level < 50 nmol/l was considered as deficient. GDM was diagnosed according to IADPSG guidelines [22]
