  1. Analysis used stepped entry (PIN 0.05) and removal (POUT 0.1). Anxiety was the only significant independent variable in each of the trimesters. Respective significance values (p) for cortisol were .895, .804 and .887 in trimesters 1, 2 and 3 respectively
