As compared to the first trimester mean 27-OHC levels increased during pregnancy by 11% in the second trimester and 18% in the third trimester and dropped down by 8% post-partum. 27-OHC: 27-hydroxycholesterol. TC: total cholesterol. WOG: week of gestation. p.p.: post-partum. Correlations were analyzed by Spearman’s correlation coefficient. Correlation coefficient values were considered significant if p-value was <0.05. Kruskal-Wallis test followed by Dunn’s comparison post hoc test was conducted for comparison of measured variables between the groups where indicated. Values of p < 0.05 were regarded as significant
