  1. Pregnancies with preeclampsia, pregestational and gestational diabetes, infants with congenital anomalies and smoking mothers were excluded.
  2. αNon-SGA in the same week was the reference category. Adjustments by logistic regression where the following confounders were included: maternal age (<20, 20–24, 25–29, 30–34 and 35+), parity (para 0, para 1+) and fetal sex. Adjustments only marginally altered the risk estimates.
