• Rhesus disease

• Prolonged pregnancy i.e. > 40+10

• Gestational diabetes

• Clinically suspected small for gestational age baby

• Atypical antibodies

• Pre-term spontaneous rupture of the membranes

• Pre-labour rupture of membranes at term for > 48 hrs

• Known fetal anomaly

• Antepartum haemorrhage

• Gestational Hypertension (≥ 140/90 mmHg)

• Induction of labour

• Oligo-hydramnious

• Multiple pregnancy

• Eclampsia

• Symptomatic vaginal discharge.

• Poly-hydramnious

• Maternal request for prenatal screening

• Pre-eclampsia

• Unbooked pregnancy

• Reduced fetal movements

• Plancental abruption

• Proteinuria ≥ 1+ on repeat specimen at same visit.

• Group B Strep

 

• Unstable lie

• Suspected thromboembolism

• More than two admissions in ≥ 48 hours at term and not in established labour

 

• Malpresentation after 37 completed weeks

• Any itchy rash

  

• Placenta praevia

• Hb < 10 g/dL

  

• Preterm labour before 37 completed weeks
